What TimeCardWorks Is

TimeCardWorks is a dedicated suite of fast, lightweight, and private browser-based calculators designed to solve everyday time, shift, and gross-wage calculation challenges.

Whether you are an hourly employee double-checking your weekly paycheck, a freelancer tracking billable client time, an independent contractor preparing an invoice, or a shift supervisor tallying team cards, TimeCardWorks provides immediate, transparent calculations without spreadsheets or software installations.

Who It Is Built For

Our tools are created for anyone who needs accurate shift math: hourly workers navigating complex shift rotations, nurses and healthcare staff tracking 12-hour shifts, retail and restaurant employees logging meal breaks, and remote contractors billing across flexible schedules.

Because our calculators run entirely in your web browser, they work across desktop computers, tablets, and smartphones with zero setup.

Client-Side Architecture & Privacy by Design

All calculations are performed locally inside your web browser. Your timesheet and wage inputs are processed locally in your browser and are not stored on our servers.

There is no account registration, login prompt, or password required. If you choose to keep your entered schedule between browser sessions, data is stored solely in your personal browser local storage (localStorage) and never transmitted to our servers.

Calculation Methodology & Accuracy Standards

To prevent rounding errors common in digital spreadsheets, TimeCardWorks converts time inputs to integer minutes before executing mathematical operations. Shifts crossing midnight automatically use modular 24-hour arithmetic (+1,440 minutes). Decimal hours are derived by dividing net worked minutes by 60, eliminating floating-point drift.

Overtime calculations allow you to customize regular thresholds (such as 40 hours per week) and overtime multipliers (such as 1.5× time-and-a-half or 2.0× double-time).

Important Limitations

TimeCardWorks produces mathematical estimates of worked hours and gross earnings. Overtime legislation, meal break mandates, and payroll rules vary across jurisdictions, collective bargaining agreements, and employer contracts.

Our calculations provide gross earnings estimates and do not include payroll tax withholdings, social security, health insurance deductions, or jurisdiction-specific labor mandates.
